Meet the Baddourah Boys
Moe and his sons, Zeke and Eli, fishing near Hilton Head Island

As the boys and I were having breakfast one morning, both Eli and Zeke expressed their feeling about the restaurant that restaurant that was a tremendous part of their childhood - Moe's Grapevine. “We miss the old restaurant, Dad”. I too missed cooking, catering, serving and creating at the restaurant. Mostly, I missed spending time teaching my boys about cooking and running a business. I knew it would be a big undertaking to start over, but when I asked what they thought about a new restaurant - it was YES from both boys. Their only question is if the restaurant would take away from our favorite hobby - fishing. It was an excellent point and that is why we are only open on weekends and evenings for special events. I thought this over some more and then asked both boys if they will be willing to help he with the restaurant. They both jumped off their seat with excitement and said YES! But there rate was going to be $5 a week. They drive a hard bargain and I couldn't resist.

We continued to discuss the idea. I asked about the name of the restaurant. Zeke said, “something with boyz!” (Yes, he was specific about the "Z" to match his name.) I suggested that wouldn’t be fair for Eli. So we played around with both of their names. Nothing stuck until Eli said, "We have to put your name in it too, Dad." We decided to use our last name and all agreed on Badd Boys Café. Zeke drew the circle with "Badd Boys" written on top and they both wanted stick men at the bottom to show the three of us together. We all loved it, sent it to our designer, and the rest is history!
